With A Quiet Place enjoying the second-best opening ever for an original horror movie, Paramound could be thinking sequel. Thankfully, the screenwriters appear to not only be on board, but eager as well.
The box office success of A Quiet Place has been a pleasant surprise for all of those involved, and could inspire Paramount to explore a sequel to the horror film. And it seem’s the movie’s writers are on board too, claiming to already have ideas of what can be explored in future films.
“It’s such a fun world. There are so many things you could do,” screenwriter Bryan Woods told Fandango when asked about A Quiet Place spawning its own franchise.
Not to spoil anything, but the film did leave many open-ended questions that could be further explored in additional movies, which fellow screenwriter Scott Beck acknowledges.
Directed by John Krasinski, A Quiet Place had the second-best opening ever for an original horror movie. While nothing is confirmed just yet, it will be hard for Paramount to pass up on the opportunity of spawning an entire franchise based on this intriguing universe.
