All Detroit: Become Human Magazine Locations

There are a total of 46 magazines to find and read throughout each explorable location in Detroit: Become Human. You can find magazines scattered in various locations, sometimes in plain sight. Keep an eye out for them in each scene, especially ones that are laid out in someone’s home.

Collecting all of the magazines will earn you the Bookwork trophy. Each magazine you find has two covers, to get the trophy you’ll need to read both for the trophy to pop up. SPOILER WARNING: Some of these locations may contain spoilers for certain sections of the story.

EditChapter 2 – Shades of Color

  • No. 10 – Tech Addict: Secrets of Androids, No. 21 – Green Earth: Climate Change-Up

Found on the bench on the right side of the park. Use R2 to scan for it (will get marked by a yellow icon).

EditChapter 3 – A New Home

  • No. 22 – All Sports: Android Power!, No. 1 – Century: Connecting the Dots – On the living room table, after Kara enters the house.
  • No. 23 – All Sports: Android QB No. 11 – Tech Addict: The Price of Life – Upstairs, in the master bedroom on a cupboard.

EditChapter 4 – The Painter

  • No. 2 – Century: The North Pole No. 27 – Detroit Today: Life Found on Titan! – Downstairs, this magazine is located on the living room table in front of the TV.

EditChapter 5 – Partners

  • No. 25 – Gossips Weekly: Android Sex Officially Better! No. 12 – Tech Addict: Is Your Android Spying on You? – In the kitchen of the murder house, where you must collect 10 pieces of evidence and investigate the dead body.

EditChapter 9 – Fugitives

  • No. 3 – Century: The Bee-Line to Disaster No. 26 – Gossips Weekly: It’s Time to Face the Music – Inside the laundromat, atop cupboard next to the door near entrance.

EditChapter 11 – Waiting for Hank…

  • No. 28 – Detroit Today: Famous Detroit Painter Dies No. 30 – Detroit Today: Ivanoff Says “Niet”! – On a desk in the middle of the police station. Use R2 vision to scan for it.
NOTE: Famous Detroit Painter Dies” is only available if Markus did not attack Leo in “Chapter: Broken”. And No. 29 – Detroit Today: The Three Laws of Robotic Parenting is only available if Markus did push Leo in “Chapter: Broken”.

EditChpater 12 – On the Run

  • 31 – Detroit Today: Cyber Wildlife (Not Numbered) – Canada: Canada still Android-Free Zone – If Kara & Alice slept in the Squat, it will be on the left side of the Squat where Alice slept.
  • If they sleep at the nearby Motel, it will be in front of the TV.
  • If they slept in the abandoned car, it will be in front of the car.

EditChapter 13 – Jericho

  • No. 32 – Detroit Today: Android on the Run!, No. 13 – Tech Addict: Android Astronauts – After Markus gets off the train, you’ll find the magazine on the bench right next to the train station.
NOTE: To get “Android on the Run!”, Kara must have escaped the house with Alice in the chapter “Stormy Night”.

EditChapter 14 – The Nest

  • No. 20 – Green Earth: Past the Tipping Point, No. 33 – Detroit Today: Red Ice Epidemic – When Hank kicks in the door to the apartment, check the right side of the room, before you enter the room with birds. The magazine is on a table hidden near the door.

EditChapter 16 – Zlatko

  • No. 34 – Detroit Today: Arctic Tensions Escalate, No. 35 – Detroit Today: Now Androids Alter Your Brain – Upstairs in the bedroom of Zlatko’s villa.
NOTE: You can go to the bedroom after Zlatko resets Kara (while you are searching the house for Alice).

EditChapter 17 – Russian Roulette

  • No. 5 – Century: Time to Pull the Plug, No. 4 – Century: Tainted Love – Inside Hank’s house in his bedroom (after leading him to the bathroom and bring him new clothes). When you can explore the house while he is puking, you can pick up the magazine.

EditChapter 19 – The Eden Club

  • No. 14 – Tech Addict: The First Immortals Are Among Us, No. 36 – Detroit Today: The New Super-Powers – Inside the warehouse, after pursuing the Tracis. The magazine is on a box in the back of the warehouse.

EditChapter 20 – The Pirates’ Cove

  • No. 37 – Detroit Today: USS Iowa Missing, No. 24 – Gossips Weekly: All-Android Band Tipped for Music Prize – After Luther kicks in the door to the pirate house, the magazine will be on the barrels where Kara puts down her flashlight.

EditChapter 21 – The Bridge

  • No. 8 – Century: The Mysterious Mister Kamski No. 40 – Detroit Today: Markets Predict War – After Connor gets out the car, you’ll see it on the bench straight in front of you. Pick it up before talking to Hank.
NOTE: You won;t be able to pick up the magazine if you talk to Hank before doing so. Make sure you grab it before talking to Hank.

EditChpater 22 – The Stratford Tower

  • No. 6 – Century: President Warren A Woman in Trouble No. 38 – Detroit Today: G.I. Android – Found on floor 47 after taking the elevator up from the lobby. The magazine is on a counter in the restaurant area.

EditChpater 23 – Public Enemy

  • No. 16 – Tech Addict: Bleeding Blue No. 21 – Green Earth: Clean Food Craze – In the kitchen of the broadcast room.

EditChpater 24 – Midnight Train

  • No. 9 – Century: World War Three (Not Numbered) Treat Yourself! – On the kitchen table. Can only pick up after Rose has left the house, then you can read it.

EditChpater 25 – Capitol Park

  • No. 39 – Detroit Today: Who is It? No. 7 Century: An Android for President? – At the very start of the chapter. Look to the left when you frist start, the magazine is on a box right next to you.

EditChapter 26 – Meet Kamski

  • No. 17 – Tech Addict: Space Tourism on the Rise No. 15 – Tech Addict: Cyberlife’s Fortune Teller Computer – In the entrance hall of Kamski’s house, after the Chloe lets you inside. After viewing the image on the wall, you can read the magazine sitting underneath it on a table.
NOTE: You can only get the magazine after first looking at the painting. Otherwise you won’t be able to pick it up.

EditChapter – Freedom March

  • No. 42 – Detroit Today: Android Riot No. 18 – Tech Addict: The Eastern Space Race – At the very start of the chapter, you’ll find the magazine to the left of where you start.
NOTE: The magazine only appears if Markus freed the androids from the nearby store and did a violent demonstration in the chapter “Capitol Park”.

EditCrossroads – Connor

  • No. 43 – Detroit Today: Detroit in Chaos No. 44 – Detroit Today: Android Terror in Detroit – When Connor enters Jericho, the magazine can be found sitting on a box in the back of the area. You can find it by scanning with R2 to scan, but do not move past the staircase nearby. Doing so will skip ahead to a new scene with no option to go back.
NOTE: The magazine is only available if Markus charged at the police in the chapter “Freedom March”.

EditBattle for Detroit – Kara

  • Leaving Detroit No. 46 – Detroit Today: Civil War in Detroit – On the right side of the bus stop.
NOTE: This magazine is only available if Markus chose the REVOLUTION option (Launch and Assault on the camps to liberate the Androids) in the chapter “Night of the Soul”.

EditBattle for Detroit – Markus

  • No. 45 – Detroit Today: They Defy Us – On the right side of Markus’ camp, if he chose a peaceful demonstration option instead of violent revolution. The magazine is on a bench within the encampment.
NOTE: This magazine is only available if Markus chose the peaceful Demonstration (March peacefully toward the camps to pressure the authorities) in the chapter “Night of the Soul”.
