Destiny 2 will release this September, according to a pair of leaked posters for Bungie’s upcoming sequel.
Images of the poster come by way of Italian outlet Lega Network, and were allegedly leaked by GameStop Italy. In addition to including a September 8 release date along the top, one of the posters also mentions of a forthcoming beta along the bottom.

Eurogamer‘s sources claim the poster is real and that the beta will kick off in June, with early access exclusive to PlayStation 4 players. Additionally, Kotaku has heard from its sources that a Destiny 2 announcement is coming from Bungie later today. (UPDATE: Kotaku’s Jason Schreier posted a correction on Twitter, saying he “misread a text [and] Destiny 2 might not be announced *today*.” He went on to note that the announcement “will be soon, though.”
It’s important to note that the indicated September 8 release date may only apply to Europe, as it’s on a Friday, and games in North America traditionally release on Tuesdays.
Additionally, another Destiny 2 poster has since surfaced online, courtesy of NeoGAF user josecitoxnyo. See it below.
