For Honor Gets Dedicated Servers on PS4, Xbox One Tomorrow

No more P2P for PvP.

For Honor will receive dedicated servers on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One tomorrow, March 6.

After the scheduled March 6 maintenance concludes, For Honor console players around the world can play on dedicated servers. The transition to dedicated server infrastructure for the game is aimed at improving matchmaking and overall stability across all PvP modes.

According to Ubisoft, the recent adoption of dedicated servers for PC players, which took place Feb. 19, has seen the elimination of resyncs and host migrations during games. In addition, match completion rates have improved, and console players should expect to see these, and other benefits, when the console update goes live tomorrow.

Exit Theatre Mode

The addition of dedicated servers was originally announced in January, when Ubisoft confirmed the update would drop sometime after the Age Of Wolves release on February 15. For Honor’s player base recently hit another milestone, growing to over 7.5 million with 1 million unique players per month.
