Challenges for Week 5 have been leaked early thanks to Fortnite Tracker.
EditDeal damage with SMGs to opponents
Inflict 500 damage on enemies with SMGs. Use any of the weapons below to add to this challenge. See our full list of weapons here.
EditSearch Chests in Dusty Divot
Open seven chests in Dusty Divot. Unlike most of the towns in Fortnite, chests at Dusty Divot are a little more unique than the many attics of homes and buildings. Instead, chests can be found inside the research rooms and with crates and trucks. A few notable chests:
- Inside the crate below the old Dusty Depot.
- On the medical bed in the northern room.
- On top of a desk in the southeastern room.
- Inside a truck on the south end of the research facility.
- Two chests on shelves in the western room.
- Two chests leftover from the original Dusty Depot.
For a look at all the chests in Dusty Depot, check our interactive map for the locations – and help us add any we missed! Remember, not every chest will spawn each match!
EditUse Vending Machines
Use three vending machines. Trade in materials for various goods. Each vending machine will have three items on sale, each asking for a different material type. The rarity of all three items will always be the same.
Use our map to pinpoint the location of all the vending machines.
Not a fan of the vending machine? Get this challenge over with by spotting a vending machine selling a common variety of weapons. This will net you 200 materials of your choice, but it’ll complete the objective!
EditDance with others to raise the Disco Ball near Loot Lake
The northern building at Loot Lake has gotten a revamp. Inside is a larger room with four sets of unlit floor tiles in the corner of each room. Have four players stand on each of the floor tiles to raise a disco ball at the center of the room. Groove out and get your challenge!
This one requires four players to work together, so your best bet is to play squads and communicate with your team about going there in the lobby. You can also try limited timed modes and go there with your giant groups. Right now the Teams of 20 V2 is a great choice.
EditFollow the treasure map found in Greasy Grove
There’s another battle token hidden somewhere on the map and the treasure map found in Greasy Grove points to its location. Head to the single floor house in the center of town and enter the bedroom past the fireplace to find the map on the wall. Looks like a skull with a X in the center.
This is actually the evil villain’s lair and you’ll find the battle token at the very top of quadrant B5. The token will appear on the outside of the lair just below the area with the steps near the top of the nuke silo.
EditMinigun or Light Machine Gun Eliminations
Eliminate two players using the Minigun or the Light Machine Guns. In Solos, defeating an enemy with either weapon counts. In any mode with teams, you can knock down an enemy with any weapon but you ultimately have to finish them off with the required weapon.
EditEliminate opponents in Lucky Landing
Defeat three enemies in Lucky Landing. Lucky Landing is at the south most tip of the map and features a decent amount of buildings and houses, including a temple down the path on the east.
There’s a chest within the giant cherry tree in the center of the town. Seeing it break down will give at least one player’s location away. There are a few buildings and some of the taller shrines that can give you the higher ground advantage on anyone roaming around the ground floor. Most matches will have you running north to the circle so keep this in mind and take enemies out as they plan to leave in that direction.
