Vending machines were widely added to the Fortnite Battle Royale map in update 3.4. Here’s how to find them, and how they work.
EditHow Vending Machines Work
Vending Machines appear as one of five rarities, like the weapons you’ll find. Each Vending Machine will have three deals, to be traded for building materials Wood, Stone, or Metal. You cannot choose which material to trade in for which item – they will be randomly tied to one of the three.
- White (Common) – 100 Materials
- Green (Uncommon) – 200 Materials
- Blue (Rare) – 300 Materials
- Epic (Purple) – 400 Materials
- Legendary (Gold) – 500 Materials
The vending machine will cycle through the three items available automatically, but you can hit it with your pick axe to speed up the process.
You can see the type of item to be purchased before purchasing.
EditVending Machine Location Map
Vending Machines seem to be much rarer and more difficult to find than chests. They also spawn randomly, so you can never be 100% certain of their locations. Here are a few tips to find them.
- Look near named locations.
- Check houses, buildings, and areas densely packed with man-made structures.
Because Vending Machines are so sparsely populated in Fortnite, maps are of limited help. We suggest following the two simple tips above if you’re set on finding a vending machine, and just play Fortnite Battle Royale normally, and you’ll eventually find a Vending Machine! Still, here’s a map of every Vending Machine location we’ve found so far. Click on it to see our Fortnite Battle Royale Interactive Map and add new ones, and to see all of the treasure chest locations.
