The next generation of iPhone comes out today. That’s right: iPhone XS and iPhone XR orders are live right now. The iPhone XR preorder date isn’t until October 19 and a release date of October 26. If you really want to get yourself a new iPhone, or if you’re one of the careful planners who timed the expiration of a contract to coincide with the arrival of the new phones, here’s what you need to know about the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.
The iPhone XS has a 5.8-inch OLED screen and the iPhone XS Max has a 6.5-inch screen, making it the biggest iPhone ever. Both will be available with 64GB, 256GB and 512GB models in space gray, silver and “a new gold finish.”
Prices for the new iPhone XS start at $999 and the iPhone XS Max starts at $1099. An unlocked iPhone XS Max with 512GB capacity is listed at $1449 on Apple’s website, and the iPhone XS Max with 256GB capacity is $1249. The iPhone XS prices are $1149 for 256GB and $1349 for 512GB.
You don’t have to go to your cell provider to get yourself a new iPhone. You can just buy one from one of the following retailers instead.
Sam’s Club members who buy a new iPhone between September 21 and September 23 and activate it with a major carrier get a $100 Sam’s Club card.
