HTC is teasing a Vive-related announcement for January 8, the day of its CES press conference.
The teaser image, posted by HTC on Twitter, clearly emphasizes the word “resolution,” likely hinting at a new Vive model with an upgraded display. The original Vive, which was released in April 2016, features two 1080×1200 display panels.

HTC announced a $200 USD price drop for Vive back in August. A few months later, the company announced Vive Focus, a standalone VR headset. However, the new headset was revealed on HTC’s Chinese website, and there’s no word on a western release at this time.
