Marvel Teases Spider-Gwen’s Superhero Name Change

Is Spider-Gwen now Ghost Spider?

Marvel is teasing a possible name change for Spider-Gwen.

Per, Marvel shared an image of a character who looks identical to Spider-Gwen webbing through a city with her backpack. The press release was accompanied by a simple statement which reads, “Ghost Spider debuts.”

Marvel has promised to share more information next Friday at San Diego Comic-Con 2018. For now, though, it’s not known if this’ll be an entirely new run for Spider-Gwen or if the character is getting a new name. It’s also unclear if this is indeed Spider-Gwen and not a different Marvel hero.

Spider-Gwen is also set to feature in the upcoming Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse animated film, which hits theaters on December 14 in the U.S. and UK, and December 26 in Australia.
