Overwatch League’s Boston Uprising Drops Player Accused of Sexual Misconduct

Boston Uprising has terminated the contract of player Jonathan “DreamKazper” Sanchez.

The Overwatch League team Boston Uprising has terminated the contract of player Jonathan “DreamKazper” Sanchez after alleged sexual misconduct.

The team announced the termination on its official Twitter account after an underaged fan came forward stating the 21-year-old Sanchez had behaved inappropriately towards her.

The allegations include coercing an underage fan into sending nude images and participating in explicit face time activities as well as other sexual messages.

The full transcript of the accusations including screenshots of some of the conversations which aim to prove he knew of her age during the interactions can be found on this google doc.

Both Boston Uprising and The Overwatch League had originally announced the suspension of Sanchez on Twitter once becoming aware of the accusations pending their own investigations and he was since let go by the Uprising.

These aren’t the first actions taken against players with inappropriate conduct in The Overwatch League as disciplinary action has previously been taken against other players for offensive activities online.
