RDR2: Map to Every Legendary Animal and Fish

Last Edited: November 2, 2018 at 8:03 PM

This guide contains map locations and strategies for each Lendary Animal and Legendary Fish in Red Dead Redemption 2. There are 29 Legendary Animals to hunt in Red Dead Redemption 2, including 16 mammals and 13 Legendary Fish.

Each Legendary Animal and Fish is the apex of their species, and are found in a specific location in the world – which Arthur will note in his map by sketching a crown on that animal when nearby.

Legendary Animals and Fish won’t just walk up to you – they’ll require a good deal of tracking, hunting, and baiting to appear, and will sometimes become a difficult and deadly encounter – especially when hunting Legendary predators.

Once killed, it’s important to hang on to the body: Skinning it will yield a Legendary Pelt, which can be traded with the Trapper at any of his locations to craft special and unique Outfits. Legendary beasts can also yield fangs and other items that can be traded to a Fence to procure rare Talismans that boost your powers.
