Ridley, Inkling, and Wolf will be joining the rest of the Super Smash Bros. series amiibo when they launch on December 7, the same day as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, for USD $15.99.
In addition, the Nintendo Versus Twitter account also confirmed that, “many” of the original Super Smash Bros. amiibo will be seeing re-releases “later this year and will be $12.99.”
Ridley and the Inklings are the newest members to join the fight in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the Nintendo Switch title that features every fighter in the franchise’s history.
At E3 2018, amiibo for Ridley and Inkling were announced, along with the announcement of an amiibo for another new playable character, Daisy.
Wolf, a character from the Star Fox series, made his first playable debut in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii, but was not part of the roster for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. He makes his return for Ultimate, along with this brand-new amiibo.
Last week, it was also revealed that returning characters Pichu and Ice Climbers would be getting amiibo, though we don’t yet have any images of these characters.
We were very positve on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at E3 2018 and feel its “like a museum for its own franchise.”
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be released for the Nintendo Switch on December 7, 2018.
