Before you go jetting off to Zeffo be sure to make a detour to Dathomir to pick up a major lightsaber upgrade, but just be warned, Dathomir is no walk in the park and you will face enemies much more powerful than those that you had initially encountered on Bogano.

Dathomir is pretty straight forward and only has one main path that you can follow. Eventually, after fighting your way through the Brotherhood and the Bane Back Spiders, you will come across a hooded stranger in Brother’s Bastion who informs you that you aren’t quite ready to take on the rest of Dathomir’s challenges just yet.

Instead of heading back to your ship defeated, look for a pathway towards the left side of the area that heads into a small cave.

Along this path, you will find workbench that has a special attachment that unlocks the Double-Bladed Lightsaber.

How To Find the Double-Bladed in Bogano

If Dathomir doesn’t take your fancy, don’t fear as Bogano also features the same lightsaber upgrade, however, this upgrade can only be accessed once you have unlocked the Force Push ability.

This upgrade can be found in the Abandoned Workshop, behind a hidden entrance that is half way up the large spiraling pathway.

If you don’t get the double-bladed lightsaber on Bogano or Dathomir, you’ll eventually get it on your second trip to Kashyyyk. You can’t miss this upgrade!

How To Unlock Force Push[edit]

“Cal regains this ability while investigating the Tomb of Eilram on Zeffo.”

Unlocked while completing the Tomb of Eilram on Zeffo, you’ll obtain the the Force Push power when attempting to pass a glowing blue door. This particular power can not be missed and is part of the main campaign.

How To Unlock Force Pull[edit]

“Cal recovers this ability after Trilla orders her troops to destroy the sarcophagus he’s standing on in the Tomb of Miktrull.”

Much like other force powers, Pull can not be missed and will be unlocked when trying to stop Cal’s lightsaber from falling.

How to Unlock the Underwater Breather[edit]

“Given to Cal by Mari Kosan, Tarfful, and Choyyssyk to help him navigate the Shadowlands.”

Upon visiting Kashyyyk for the second time, you’ll have the chance to meet Tarfful in Origin Lake. In order to continue your journey throughout the planet, Tarfful will provide you with the Rebreather, which is needed to leave the area.

How to Unlock Force Jedi Flip (Double Jump)[edit]

“Cal remembers this ability after a potentially deadly fall at the Origin Tree.”

During your second visit to Kashyyyk, you’ll encounter a giant bird creature. While helping out the creature, you’ll discover the ability to Jedi Flip as you bounce between plants.

How To Unlock the Climbing Claws[edit]

“Collected from a Nightbrother corpse on Dathomir, but not before disturbing the nest of the monstrous Gorgara.”

Upon entering the liar of the monstrous Gorgara and defeating his first phase, you’ll find the set of Climbing Claws on a fallen Nightbrother near the large orange climbing wall.

How To Unlock the Split Saber[edit]

“By combining Cere and Jaro’s hilts, Cal created a lightsaber that can be split in two.”

While crafting your new lightsaber on Ilum, Cal will have the ability to create a brand new lightsaber that can split into two.

How To Get the Scomp Link[edit]

After clearing the Tomb of Eilram and acquiring the Force Push ability on the planet of Zeffo, you’ll start backtracking through the planet to get back to your ship, the Mantis.

However, right after leaving the Windswept Ruins area, you’ll be back at Weathered Monument, an area that features a Meditation Point and a wall to Push through.

This area really stands out because not only does the wall stick out, but nearby are multiple objects to interact with if you had a Scomp Link. Push through the wall, defeat any enemies that are nearby, then head to the workbench.

Cal will install the Scomp Link to BD-1 and it’ll be able to slice into red chests and doors and hack them!

How To Unlock Overcharge[edit]

“BD-1 can run a strong current through certain machinery to turn it on and off.”

Unlocked on Kashyyyk, Overcharge is one of the abilities that can not be missed as the game will eventually force you into the room in which the workbench is located.

How To Unlock the Powered Zipline[edit]

“This motor allows BD-1 to travel up ziplines.”

After your first visit to Kashyyyk, you’ll be required to travel back to Zeffo in order to complete yet another Tomb. When attempting to enter the Imperial Cave area, move the zipline in front of you to the bottom of the area.

Do the same for the next two Ziplines and you’ll encounter a room with a workbench. On this bench, you will find BD-1’s Powered Zipline upgrade.

How To Unlock Splice: Probe Droid[edit]

“BD-1 can slice into Probe Droids’ threat detection protocol at close range.”

Upon exiting the second Tomb on Zeffo, you will find BD-1’s Probe Droid ability when taking the zipline up towards the mediation point in the area. Here, you will find a bridge that needs a little help from the Force Push ability.

Towards the left of this bridge, you will find an easily missable workbench that contains the Probe Droid upgrade.

How To Unlock Splice: Security Droid[edit]

“BD-1 can control damaged KX series security droids.”

Like the Probe Droid, the Security Droid isn’t overly important and is one of the few BD-1 abilities that can be completely skipped. For those looking to unlock the ability, you must first free the Wookies on Kashyyyk. Once they are freed, look for the vine that is hanging directly in front of you after exiting the room via the door. Swing the vine to the right and jump to the next several vines until you reach the platform. Here, you will unlock the Slice: Security Droid on a nearby workbench in the room.
