Street Fighter Board Game Announced on Kickstarter

Already K.O’d the goal.

Jasco Games has announced a new Street Fighter miniatures board game on Kickstarter.

According to its Kickstarter page, Street Fighter: The Miniatures Game features high quality pre-painted figures and will allow players to simulate fights using their favorite characters from the Street Fighter roster.

The game, co-designed by YouTuber Joe “Angry Joe” Vargas, is played using a combination of cards and dice on various maps with destructible 3D terrain. It features a Versus Mode, as well as Free for All and Team Games options. Those who pledge at least $140 USD will also get the Boss Expansion, which includes a Boss Mode where three players team up to face off against one super powerful boss player.

At the time of writing, the project has received over $626,000 USD in funding, surpassing its original $400,000 USD goal. The Kickstarter still has has 28 days to go.

The base reward pledge starts at $80 USD and includes the core set. Those who want the top tier spot that grants access to all unlocked stretch goals will be set back $280 USD.

Exit Theatre Mode

Jasco Games partnered with Capcom for the project in 2015 after successfully kickstarting a Mega Man board game. For more Street Fighter merchandise, check out the new art book that was released in Japan earlier this year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series.
