Super Mario Run players can now enjoy Super Mario Odyssey-themed content as part of a new crossover promotion by Nintendo.
In addition to the aforementioned wedding Mario statue, a Pauline statue will be available from November 14-19, a wedding Bowser statue will be available from November 19-23, and a wedding Peach statue will be available from November 23-27.
This crossover follows September’s Super Mario Run update, which added a new world, new mode and new playable character to Nintendo’s mobile platformer. While Super Mario Run has surpassed 200 million downloads worldwide, the title has “not yet reached an acceptable profit point” for Nintendo.
Meanwhile, Super Mario Odyssey appears to be off to a strong start. The Switch-exclusive title sold over two million copies during its first three days of availability, and Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima hopes the game will be an “evergreen title that has longevity in the market beyond this holiday season.”
