THE CROW Remake Stalls AGAIN As It Loses Director Corin Hardy And AQUAMAN Star Jason Momoa

Just as it was starting to look like The Crow was coming together, it’s been revealed today that the reboot has stalled yet again, losing its director and lead star in the process. Find out more here…

The Crow was supposed to start shooting within the next five weeks in Budapest and the movie has been in pre-production for a while now but, once again, the reboot has stalled. However, not only has director Corin Hardy walked away from the project but Jason Momoa – who was set to take on the title role – has also formally withdrawn from the project which has been in the works for several years.

Apparently, Sony – who announced a release date of October 11th, 2019 last September – was already close to exiting as The Crow‘s worldwide distributor due to creative and financial differences with Samuel Hadida, whose Davis Films holds the rights to the character and who was financing it

His inability to close a deal with Sony caused problems for the studio and that ultimately led to the exits of its director and star. What becomes of it now remains to be seen but this isn’t good and it’s the second time the movie has stalled after losing a director. Based on James O’Barr’s graphic novel, The Crow was previously adapted by Alex Proyas and starred Brandon Lee who ended up dying on set.
