Naughty Dog has confirmed that it will not be sharing anything new from The Last of Us Part 2 at The Game Awards 2018 on Thursday.
Revealed in a tweet, the developer says it is hard at work on the game, and will be showing off more “when the time is right.” The last time Naughty Dog gave us a look at the game was at E3 back in June.
Though The Last of Us Part 2 hasn’t appeared at The Game Awards in the past, its predecessor was officially announced at the Spike Video Game Awards in 2011. The last couple of years, Naughty Dog has made appearances at PSX, with a panel in 2017 and an announcement in 2016. Because Sony won’t be holding a PSX this year, it appears our next look at the game might be a ways off.
Other developers have confirmed they won’t be showing off games at The Game Awards 2018, including Rocksteady Studios (which isn’t making a Superman game), and CD Projekt Red, which is currently working on Cyberpunk 2077.
