What Do Moms Want to Know About the Art World? For Mother’s Day, We Texted Our Own to Find Out

Mother’s Day is upon us. This year, rather than putting together, say, a digest of artworks about motherhood or something like that, we decided to do what you are supposed to do on Mother’s Day: text your mom.

For the sake of the experiment, a sample of our writers asked their very game mothers if they had any questions about their wayward progeny’s chosen field of work. From nurses to art dealers themselves, they bring a variety of art-world expertise to the table. We have to admit that in certain cases, we think they may have been humoring us. Moms are wily! But here, below, the artnet News staff answers some Mother’s Day questions about the art world.
