Fallout 76: When and How to Access the Beta

This page will explain how to get access to the beta, or Break-It Early Test Application (B.E.T.A.), for Fallout 76. The early access server test was announced during Bethesda’s E3 2018 press conference, and is included as a Pre-Order Bonus for all editions of the game, which Xbox users getting to play first, followed by PC and PS4 users.

You can visit the Bethesda store to preorder the game from the retailer of your choice, then visit the Fallout 76 page on Bethesda’s website to redeem your code.

Look for the “Redeem Code” section about halfway down the page, and follow the link to your account settings page. Make sure you have logged in or created a Bethesda Account (The same ID needed to connect to the Bethesda Mod Manager) and enter the code into the Redeem Code tab to submit your access to the B.E.T.A, then make sure to check your email when Bethesda starts sending out invites!

Beta Dates and Times[edit]

Currently, those who pre-order the game for the Xbox One will be able to take part in the B.E.T.A earlier than others on October 23rd, while PS4 and PC users will be able to join later on October 28th.

It has been indicated that in an effort to “break the game” the times will be sporadic and varied instead of the usual ‘play for x hours straight’. This means that the B.E.T.A will only be accessible for a few hours at a time at random intervals, and the timing of announcements may be haphazard.
