Marvel is concluding its Death of Wolverine trilogy with the upcoming Return of Wolverine miniseries.
THR reports the five-part series will end the story that first began in 2014’s Death of Wolverine and continued in the 18-part Hunt for Wolverine storylines.
The titular hero was killed in the 2014 miniseries and recently came back in various Marvel titles this year, which led to the one-shot Hunt for Wolverine: Dead Ends.
Return of Wolverine, from Steve McNiven and Charles Soule, promises to feature a different, changed Logan. This includes making some adjustments to his claws.
“One of the outwardly physical manifestations of that is that now, from time to time, his claws — once they’re popped — they can heat up,” Soule said, talking about one of these changes. “They can get really hot.”
A regular Wolverine title will likely be released following Return of Wolverine, whose first issue comes out on September 19.
